Intellicyt Corporation, a company based in Albuquerque, New Mexico and created around flow cytometry technology developed at the University of New Mexico by Dr. Larry Sklar and Dr. Bruce Edwards, announced that it has had record sales in 2015 for its instrumentation, software and reagent products. The UNM technology is called the HyperCyt® System and is a sample handling technology that allows flow cytometers to screen samples faster and with greater accuracy and cost efficiency than conventional approaches. Using the UNM proprietary autosampler and data-analysis software with standard cytometers, researchers can perform larger experiments with more samples (384 or 1536-well microplates).
