The UNM Innovation Academy, UNM’s new, hands-on learning program for students, and STC, UNM’s tech-transfer office, are planning to host their third student pitch competition for the evening of April 25th. The event is free and open to any student at the University of New Mexico, New Mexico State University and New Mexico Tech wishing to pitch and any member of the public wishing to attend.
Pitch competitions are opportunities for aspiring student entrepreneurs to present their innovative ideas for products, services or technologies in 60-90 second presentations before entrepreneurs, investors, and business professionals in the community. The competition, held to help students with innovative ideas and technologies take their first steps toward creating a new business or finding partners who want to develop the ideas into products or services, awards cash prizes. But, we need your help to fund the cash prizes and pay for the reception where audience members will vote for the top winners.
