STC.UNM and the UNM Innovation Academy will host their Rainforest Student Pitch Competition on Friday, Nov. 7, 2016 from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Bow & Arrow Brewing Co., 608 McKnight Ave. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87102. This free event is open to any student from any university in the state of New Mexico who is currently enrolled in the fall 2016 semester. Students who have a product idea, technology, start-up or a desire to practice presentation skills are encouraged to enter. Students must submit an application with your video submission by October 24, 2016.
The competition consists of two rounds. In the first round, students will submit a 90-second video for viewing by a panel of judges who will pick the finalists. Finalists will then move on to the second round for a 90-second live pitch at Bow & Arrow in front of business professionals, entrepreneurs, investors and the public.
The audience will vote on the top 5 pitches. Winners will split the proceeds from the Rainforest Student Pitch Competition Fund.
