Keynote Speaker Frank Gruber, CEO and President of Tech.Co is joining us for this one night event! Six companies have been selected to share a 3 minute pitch for a chance to compete on the global stage in NYC this fall. We’ll have Dion’s pizza and drinks from Dialogue Brewing.

The Companies:

Babierge is the leading global baby gear rental service helping families “Pack Light, Travel Far and Make Lasting Family Memories.”

CarbonACE is reversing climate change by capturing ambient CO2 in shipping containers and sequestering carbon as simple baking soda.

EquiSeq develops genetic tests for horses to improve breeding.

Gwippi manufactures baby and toddler products that promote sensory development.

Pencil-In is a software company. We are the first company to ever build a photo entry method for calendars.

Smoke Signals is a social media platform that is working to make communication between local representatives and the people simple.

The Keynote:

Frank Gruber is the Cofounder, CEO and Executive Editor of Tech.Co (formerly Tech Cocktail). He is an entrepreneur and new media journalist focused on sharing his tech product expertise and analysis on emerging technologies. Previously he built products for millions of users while at AOL and Tribune Company. He is the author of the book, Startup Mixology, Tech Cocktail’s Guide to Building, Growing, and Celebrating Startup Success. He is also a startup advisor and investor to startups.

Challenge Cup is a worldwide tournament for the most promising, innovative startups to win prizes, make connections, and share their vision on a global stage. This year, 1776 is partnering with 75 cities to host Challenge Cup Local events, and Innovate ABQ is excited to host the competition for Albuquerque’s top startups! One winner will advance with a free trip to the Global Finals at Challenge Festival from November 13-17, 2017. There, the finalists will compete for the grand prizes as well as spend time with the investors, customers, media and other key connections that can help them succeed on a global scale.
