New Collaborative Program Launching at the Lobo Rainforest Building

UNM and the Navajo Nation Announce Agreement to House UNM Navajo Nation Students

STC.UNM and the UNM Innovation Academy Among Recipients Receiving New Mexico Gas Company Grants

The University of New Mexico’s technology-transfer and economic development organization, STC.UNM, and its entrepreneurial program for students, the Innovation Academy, have been awarded innovation grants by New Mexico Gas Company.  In its second year of funding, the gas company’s parent company, Emera, awarded $1.5 million to 28 organizations in New Mexico developing programs to train and support entrepreneurs, spin out startup companies, and increase economic development. Five Students win at Rainforest Student Pitch Competition

STC.UNM and the UNM Innovation Academy co-hosted their sixth Rainforest Student Pitch Competition on November 13, at Bow & Arrow Brewing Co.  The event drew a large crowd from the community who heard pitches for ideas, technologies, and companies from ten finalists.  The 90-second presentations were the culmination of a vetting process that included an initial submission of a video pitch to a panel of judges who selected finalists for …Read More

Fall 2017 Cohort Chosen for Lobo Rainforest I-Corps Program

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico. October 5, 2017—STC.UNM and the UNM Innovation Academy have announced the first cohort of 10 commercialization teams for projects submitted and chosen to participate in the Lobo Rainforest I-Corps program. Albuquerque, NM, August 8, 2017.
