Survey to Assess UNM’s Economic Engagement

Albuquerque, NM – June 11, 2015 STC.UNM and the University of New Mexico are seeking feedback from the community.

In 2012, UNM President Robert Frank envisioned a desired future state (UNM 2020) for the university by developing a strategic plan. An open and inclusive process engaging more than 1,000 stakeholders in live and virtual sessions produced seven goals for UNM 2020. One of the seven goals for UNM is to advance and accelerate economic development. An important part of implementing this goal is to gather input from stakeholders on UNM’s progress on economic development efforts through a survey.

This survey provides the opportunity for external stakeholders to provide input, regarding the University of New Mexico’s economic engagement. It seeks input from what the community thinks the university is doing well, and also what they think should be the main priorities.

The survey is available at https://stc.unm.edu/survey and will close at the end of June.

Also, please save the date for UNM’s second Economic Development Summit on October 26, 2015. UNM would like to bring our community stakeholders together for an update on economic development activities and to continue the conversation on what UNM can do to advance its role in economic development.
