Start-up Based on UNM Stroke Technology Changes Name

Albuquerque, NM – January 21, 2014 A NM Angels/STC start-up formed around technology developed at the University of New Mexico by Dr. Surojit Paul from the Department of Neurology recently announced it has changed its name from Tyrosine Pharma Inc. to Zocere Inc. The company has received funding from the New Mexico Angels and an NIH grant to develop therapies for protecting the brain against stroke and reducing the damage to the brain after stroke has occurred.
